Week 10 U17 MLS Next (Non-Academy) Rankings: A Fresh Perspective
Rankings are back for MLS Next! And we've made the decision to no longer include the 30 MLS Next academy clubs that are affiliated with an MLS team. This decision was made due to the fact that those clubs operate under very different circumstances than the rest of the MLS Next clubs (and ECNL clubs). So moving forward our MLS Next rankings will only include non-academy clubs.
The Week 10 U17 MLS Next (Non-Academy) rankings, the leaderboard showcases an intriguing mix of emerging soccer powerhouses across the United States.
At the pinnacle of the rankings is STRIKERS FC MLS NEXT from California, making a striking debut at the top.
Right on their heels is Illinois' own SOCKERS FC MLS NEXT, another new entry that has quickly claimed the second spot. Their presence here is a testament to the talent and dedication brewing in the Midwest.
New York's BW GOTTSCHEE ACADEMY MLS NEXT stands proudly at third, ensuring the East Coast is well represented with their commitment to excellence in youth soccer development.
New Jersey's PLAYERS DEVELOPMENT ACADEMY MLS NEXT grabs the fourth spot, while REAL COLORADO MLS NEXT from Colorado rounds out the top five, both marking their territories as prime cultivators of young soccer talent.
The list continues with WESTON FC MLS NEXT from Florida at the sixth position, followed by their in-state rival, TAMPA BAY UNITED MLS NEXT, who secures the seventh place.
Eighth place goes to the west with SANTA CRUZ COUNTY BREAKERS FC MLS NEXT from California, who have made their presence known on the national stage.
The ninth and tenth positions are held by BARCA RESIDENCY ACADEMY MLS NEXT from Arizona and LA SURF SC MLS NEXT from California, respectively. Both teams have demonstrated that they're forces to be reckoned with, entering the rankings with undeniable momentum.
